i really just dont care about english class anymore. im quite confident in my ability to speak english and in my ability to comment on literature that i will forget about as soon as im done commenting on it.

in other news, i might be making an appearance in texas a&m's radio station soon. a friend of mine wants me to come down for a show and it sounds like it could be a lot of fun to disappear for a wednesday night and magically reappear in dallas at 5 in the morning. but why would i mention this? this is your chance to suggest music to play on becca's segment of the show. she asked for no mainstream (what college radio station plays mainstream mu...oh, UD did for a while...) and thats pretty much the only limitation she put on my musical freedom. so comment!

i have been obsessed with the "slam dunk contest" in nba live 2005 lately. not only is it motivating me to play basketball on a somewhat regular basis, but it is making me want to talk about dunks.

first, a little controversy. in 2006, nate robinson took the stage and called spud webb out onto the court, and had him stand near the basket. nate robinson handed him the ball, had him alley oop it to him over his head, and nate robinson cleared spud webb completely for the jam. nate robinson is 5'6. a lot of people complain about this dunk, saying that iguodala had the better dunk (alley oop from behind the glass to a windmill underneath) but when you look at how they score these contests, you look for a little showmanship, i think. this is why i think nate's dunk was better (did i mention that hes shorter than me? did i mention i can only touch net?)
